More artists for GAS 2020!
Last week we shared some of the artists that make up the program for this years edition of the festival. And now it’s time to announce the some more. Just like the last batch, the artists below represent a wide variety of genres in sounding art – from transatlantic online concerts to contemporary music to chamber opera – both live and online!
Telematic Performance [US/AU/SE]
Imagine a transatlantic musical meeting between seven musicians from three ensembles from USA, Australia and Sweden. Telematic Performance features musicians from Norrbotten Neo, Decibel New Music Ensemble and Mise-EN Ensemble and is a concert that will be performed and aired over the Internet in real time. A once-in-a-lifetime experience if ever there was one!

Gageego! – Swedish Chamber Games [SE]
Welcome to the finale of the composition competition Swedish Chamber Games, where the music of the three winners Britta Byström, Henrik Denerin and Leilei Tian is performed by the amazing contemporary music ensemble Gageego!.
Swedish Chamber Games is collaboration between Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Gageego!, Föreningen Svenska Tonsättare and STIM. The concert is presented in collaboration with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
The concert will be streamed at GSOplay, live from Stenhammarsalen in the Gothenburg Concert House.

Utomjordiska – As One [SE]
Gothenburg based opera group Utomjordiska presents the chamber opera As One, where two singers, a baritone and a mezzo-soprano, both portray the character Hannah. With humor and empathy, As One chronicles a transgender person’s inner journey toward self-realization.

Since 2011, Dag is one of three the co-owners of Gothenburg based production company Producentbyrån. Producentbyrån is a team of producers and project managers working with various artists, companies, festivals, conferences and projects in performing arts, both in Sweden and internationally. Dag has a background as a sound technician and also works as a composer and musician for separate works, film and performing arts productions. Dag works with the GAS-Festival’s communication and graphic design.
