This year’s edition of the festival will be a different one for sure. But just like always, artistically the festival will feature a wide variety of genres and artistic expressions, and we are very happy with how the program turned out!

Kathy Hinde – Twittering Machines

Kathy Hinde – Twittering Machines [GB]
Bristol based sound artist Kathy Hinde presents her piece Twittering Machines. Her work grows from a partnership between nature and technology expressed through audio-visual installations and performances that combine sound, sculpture, image and light. In Twittering Machines she uses morse code blips, music boxes and broken toy pianos to conjure up the impression of a huge flock of birds flying around the space.

Developed at a Cryptic Cove Park Residency and premiered in 2019 at MUTEK Montréal. Kathy Hinde’s Twittering Machines is presented in collaboration with Cryptic, Glasgow. In connection to the concert there will also be a live Q&A with Kathy, lead by Andreas Lindahl.

The concert is a pre-recorded performance that will be streamed in front of a live audience at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg. The stream will also be available at the Göteborg Art Sounds YouTube channel.
