This fourth and final program release contains both regular concerts, workshops and talks. Swedish contemporary music ensemble Gageego! with conductor Rei Munakata presents a program of both new and previous visionaries at Göteborgs Konserthus. Herman Müntzing, Jonny Wartel and Karin Johansson, along with students from Högskolan för Scen och Musik and Kulturskolan Askim-Frölunda-Högsbo presents the improvisation concert MORF 1 at Frölunda kulturhus.

Pre-GAS
As a lead-in to the opening concert on October 15 we present Pre-GAS, giving you the opportunity to experience three very different events. With the actual physical space as the starting point, flautist Anders Hagberg gather musicians from Högskolan för Scen och Musik for the project Places, Spaces – a musical sound walk. Can you make music out of paper? This is the question that the project Paper Music poses during this one of a kind concert at Kvarnbyns handpappersbruk. Enter into a unique performance exploring the state between dream and reality as performing arts company Art of Spectra invites you to the lucid dreamworld that is In Your Head at Vara Konserthus.

GAS Talks
In addition to the regular concerts, we also have a couple of GAS Talks as part of this year’s program. Spanish sound artist Pablo Sanz will share about his work and working methods in his talk “Ecologies Of Listening“. During the Artist Presentations, some of the EME artists will also be presenting and talking more about their work. During our Swedish Fika session we wanted to just create an informal setting where the artist, our visiting guests and the audience can meet and we will also present a Fenoba Panel Discussion with members from the nordic-Baltic Fenoba network.
