Do you want to be part of GAS festival’s artistic council?

Göteborg Art Sounds/ GAS is a non-profit association which main purpose is to organize an international festival for new and investigative music in Gothenburg every two years, as a biennial. The GAS festival started in 1999 and today, after being an established festival for new music for almost 25 years, it is Sweden’s only biennial for sound art, modern composition, improvisation and electronic music.

GAS festival’s festival director Staffan Mossenmark will finish his assignment at the turn of the year 2023/2024. For upcoming festivals, GAS is now looking for an artistic council. The council works to produce artistic acts in dialogue with the festival’s board, and works in close contact with the producer for the festival. The work can in wide extent be done remotely.

The artistic council will be appointed in 2024 and will be introduced to the festival work during the year. The council will then be included in the planning of the 2026 festival and upcoming festivals. The council will consist of up to three people, who work based on different genres and areas of expertise. The assignments are paid for and have varying extent based on the division of responsibilities.
