GAS TALKS – The role of art in a rapidly changing world [CN/BE/CN/SE]

October 5 @ 18:00 - 19:30

Atalante
Free

In a world where “everything is politics” and where art is often used to pose critical and inconvenient questions – questions that should perhaps rather be addressed by other segments of our society and our political life – art is often used as a generator and as such, sometimes as an alibi for social change.

But what role can and should art play in a world of unbridled globalization and growing nationalism? How does the participants view their own role as artists? What is their view on the connection between art and society and what responsibility does artistic leaders and curators have?
