Göteborg Art Sounds (GAS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing sound culture and contemporary artistic creation through the curation of an international festival for contemporary music and sound art in Gothenburg, Sweden since 1999.

The organisation is committed to exploring ways of engaging with sound that foster aural diversity, artistic innovation and social dialogue. By foregrounding experimental and multidisciplinary approaches, GAS seeks to enrich the cultural landscape of the region while strengthening international connections between artists, audiences and institutions. GAS is devoted to crafting a compelling international program that places representation, accessibility and sustainability at its core. Through collaborations, commissions and educational initiatives, GAS actively supports both emerging and established artists.

Göteborg Art Sounds Festival:Shifting spaces. The 2026 edition of the festival is curated by Artistic Directors Clara de Asís (NL/ES) and Stefan Klaverdal (SE) and invites artistic practices of sound that engage with spatiality, reconsidering spaces as dynamic fields of relation. Space is never fixed. It is acoustic, social, political and embodied. Sound can expand or contract distances, alter our sense of duration, reveal invisible relations and reconfigure how we inhabit environments together. 22 - 26 September we move through various venues in Gothenburg and the West of Sweden, exploring different spaces and their contexts through concerts, workshops and talks.
